+ one hour e-learning per week

Course content
This course will enable learners to understand frequently used sentences and expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. basic personal and family information, shopping, employment, local geography). Participants will learn how to describe personal experiences and events; request and give basic information regarding everyday (university) subjects – orally and in writing, fill in commonly used forms and talk about education and the school system.

We would like to ask you complete a placement test before registering for the German course. Below, you will find a link that leads you to an online-test that allows you to assess your level in German.

Please note:

  • The test consists of 64 questions. Allow approximately one hour for the test.
  • Make sure you will not be disturbed while completing the test.
  • Please use a computer, not a smart phone.
  • As the test includes audios, please ensure that your computer can play those.
  • The test covers the levels A1- C1.

The further you proceed in the test, the more challenging the questions become. Please leave out questions you cannot answer and finish the test once you have reached the point at which all the questions are too difficult.
After closing the test, you will receive an email with your result. Please print this result (with the score clearly visible) and show it to your teacher in the first session of the course.
