Push through Your Studies
Together with the Central Student Advisory Service, we at Healthy Campus Bonn are offering the workshop series "Push through Your Studies" to help you develop your skills and abilities in the long term and strengthen your resources - for successful and health-oriented studies.
All events are run by psychologically and pedagogically experienced trainers and are of course free of charge for students at the University of Bonn.

Stay calm during your doctorate
The content of the seminar is adjusted to the specifics of the living and working environment of doctoral researchers and strengthens a healthy and productive way of dealing with potential stress factors. An overview of the seminar contents can be found below. The dates are designed as four-hour training sessions (including breaks).
The goal of the seminar is to provide guidance in the promotion phase and to practice integrating the behaviors learned in the training into everyday life.
Intervention Study of the seminar "Stay calm during your doctorate"
2022 the “Stay calm during your doctorate” stress management seminar was accompanied by a randomized intervention study to evaluate its long-term effect on doctoral students. Previous studies have yet to evaluate the long-term impact of stress management programs and their specific suitability for doctoral students.

Resilient Researcher: Building Stress Competence during Your Doctorate
A peer group facilitated by the Bonn Graduate Center
Academic tasks and administration, tutoring and teaching, partner projects… and family first of all! You can feel the stress building up even while reading this. Being asked to do everything at once and straight away is an integral part of daily life in academia. This workshop uses cognitive stress models to show how stress is triggered and the ways in which it can be reduced and avoided.
Resilience and Well-Being in Academia

Academia is an ultramarathon that we try to run as a sprint. This approach tends to leave us with little time or energy for life outside of work and very few resources to cope when we face challenges.
