Funding for Your Postdoc Phase
The University of Bonn supports postdocs in various funding lines and provides individual advice on external funding opportunities. Whether you are looking for material resources to carry out your own research projects or travel grants to attend a conference - you will find the right funding instrument here.
Transdisciplinary Research Areas (TRA)
The six transdisciplinary research areas (TRAs) of the University of Bonn offer various funding opportunities for their members (and members-to-be).
Funding from the University of Bonn
As the central pillar of the “Argelander Program for Early Career Researchers”, the Argelander Grants support you on your path to an academic career after your doctorate. The various funding lines give you the opportunity to gain academic independence, raise your international profile and expand your academic network. The University of Bonn also offers many other funding opportunities. In particular, the aim is to support young female scientists on their career path and thus increase the proportion of women in science. Another focus is on postdoctoral researchers and academics from countries in the Global South, who are to be given the opportunity to spend time at the University of Bonn through our own funding programs.
