Guest Female Professors Program
With the guest female professors funding, the University of Bonn actively encourages outstanding international female scientists to come for research and teaching stays and to strengthen the university's international profile.
Annual Dealines:
January 31 for the winter semester |
June 30 for the summer semester of the following year
What does the funding include?
The funding includes financing the guest professorship (usually equivalent to W2/W3 level) plus travel expenses (up to 4,000 euros). Additionally, the guest professor is provided with material resources for equipment (up to 10,000 euros). The guest professor has access to the infrastructure of the host faculty (laboratories, workspaces, libraries, etc.) for research and teaching activities. The funding period is generally one semester. If two professors jointly nominate an interdisciplinary candidate, funding for two consecutive semesters is possible. The hiring requirements are based on §36 Landeshochschulgesetz NRW.
