Course Content

This workshop is designed for international female PhD researchers and will offer insights into German PhD culture(s) as well as perspectives for Postdocs. We will start out with a general introduction into structures and experiences with gaining a PhD in Germany and will continue with two sections dedicated to practical advice with a specific view to the participants’ needs. This will include an overview of scholarships, support programmes for women and career tracks as well as hands-on advice by the seminar leaders and the peer group on application materials (CVs, cover letters, research profile) and procedures (interviews). There will also be ample opportunity for networking among the participants.
In order to gauge the participants’ needs and prepare the feedback to application materials, the seminar leaders will get in touch with participants before the workshop.
