Tuesday, 09.05. (5 p.m. - 6.45 p.m.): Themed evening (held in German Language)
Nutrition - how to eat healthy and sustainable?

On the theme evening, you can listen to two practical impulse lecture on the topic of sustainable nutrition and healthy eating without registration. Afterwards, you can use the opportunity to ask the experts your questions about nutrition. In order to provide you with enough "brain food" during this time, free snacks will be available. Just drop by and use the opportunity to get information on important topics, to get practical tips for your everyday life and to ask your questions!

Location: b-IT (lecture hall R 0.109)

Speakers: Dagny Schwarz & Kerstin Neuber (Verbraucherzentrale NRW)

What does nutrition have to do with the health of our planet? The world population is increasing, climate change is advancing - questions about how all people on earth can be fed sustainably and healthy and what this means for the planetary load limits are on the table. The Planetary Health Diet as the plate of the future aims to provide answers to these questions. In the lecture, the aspects of a sustainable diet in relation to the impact on the planet will be discussed and it will be shown what this can mean concretely for one's own shopping basket.

Speaker: Mirjana Karan (Nutritionist & Consultant)

What should we eat and why? What's good in our food - does that also apply to processed foods? How can we detect sugar and fat traps? In this interactive lecture, we will take a close look at food packaging and look together at what is contained in our food and what we can pay particular attention to in packaged food.
