TRA Present Pasts combines transdisciplinary research and networking with the transfer from science to society. In addition to regional partners such as various museums in Bonn, the TRA cooperates with international partner institutions and scholars.

Our Members
Currently, the TRA Present Pasts has 80 members, who are assigned to the two profile focuses communication and heritage. These are mainly professors and postdocs from the Faculty of Arts and the two theological faculties.

Membership is open to:
- Members of the University of Bonn who have proven their ability to perform independent research in the areas covered by the TRA.
- Employees of another institution are welcome if they meet the requirements stated above and are engaged in a project conducted jointly with the University of Bonn on the basis of a cooperation agreement.
- Doctoral researchers working at the University of Bonn in an area covered by the TRA are also welcome to join as non-voting members.
Our Partners
The TRA Prensent Pasts is closely linked to the Cluster of Excellence "Bonn Center for Dependency and Slavery Studies" (BCDSS) through numerous joint members and a joint spokesperson. In the future, joint events and an even stronger exchange will drive scientific innovation at the University of Bonn.
