Important documents
To ensure orderly university operations also in times of the coronavirus pandemic, we refer to the currently applicable legal specifications and guidelines which we have compiled on this page.
In addition, here you can find all internal documents such as Circulars issued by the Rectorate, hygiene guidelines and concepts as well as template documents for use at the University.
Please ensure you are aware of the currently applicable guidelines as this is the only way to ensure on-site operations are safe.
Legal provisions
Please note the legal guidelines and provisions in the currently applicable version at “Current provisions” on coronavirus information sites of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). Among these are:
the Ordinance on the protection against new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 infections (Coronaschutzverordnung) including its attachment and
the Ordinance on the protection against new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 infections with regard to persons traveling to Germany (Coronaeinreiseverordnung).
The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia provides the currently applicable version of the
- Ordinance on teaching and practical courses as well as examinations at institutions of higher education in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia (Allgemeinverfügung des Ministeriums für Arbeit, Gesundheit und Soziales)
The Ministry of Culture and Science of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia issued the following provisions:
- First provision to amend the Ordinance on overcoming coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 epidemic related challenges posed on university operations (Corona-Epidemie-Hochschulverordnung)
- Corona-Epidemie-Hochschulverordnung
In a new ordinance of the Federal City of Bonn, further areas were named in which masks are mandatory. This may also affect areas in the direct surroundings of university buildings!
