Can I study in Germany even though my German is not perfect yet? – Many students from all over the world ask themselves this question. The University of Bonn has therefore developed “Germany in a Global Context”: taught in English, its courses offer even more international students an opportunity to study in Germany for a semester.

You would like to study at the University of Bonn with “Germany in a Global Context”? This is the curriculum awaiting you:

  • Seminars held in English (undergraduate), which we have developed especially for this program,
  • Courses from regular degree programs offered at the University of Bonn and
  • Language courses.

The courses of “Germany in a Global Context” are focused on regional sciences, allowing you to get deep insights into the structures in your host country Germany. Topics of discussion will not only be the political structures in Europe and Germany but also its societies, cultures, economies and legal systems.

“Germany in a Global Context” starts in the winter semester 2020/21. In the medium term, we plan to offer approximately ten courses per semester.

A limited number of students of the University of Bonn may also attend, thus providing a great opportunity for networking between German and international students. Subject to individual agreement, students of the University of Bonn may obtain credit for “Germany in a Global Context” courses.
