Enrollment after admission

Information on how to enroll is usually provided in your letter of admission. In the case of degree programs that do not have admission restrictions, the necessary information is provided during the online enrollment process. If you have any questions regarding enrollment, feel free to contact the Student Registry.

Applicants for a higher program-related semester

In many degree programs at the University of Bonn, admission restrictions also apply for students wishing to enter the program at a higher program-related semester. In such cases, you will also need to submit an application for admission.

Applicants with vocational qualifications

Individuals without a university entrance qualification have also been eligible for university admission for some time, provided they can demonstrate relevant work experience and meet certain requirements. See here for information on how to apply.

Studying for a second degree

If you have already earned a university degree in Germany and wish to pursue another degree at the University of Bonn, you are what we call a second-degree candidate.

High-level athletes

If you are a high-level athlete, the University of Bonn will support you with pursuing your desired degree.

Auditors

If you wish to attend individual courses without being enrolled, you are welcome to apply for auditor status.

Cross-registered students

If you are already enrolled at another German university, you may cross-register at the University of Bonn.

Underage students

You may be admitted to the University of Bonn even if you are still under the age of 18 when classes begin.

Students with disabilities

In order not to discriminate against students with disabilities and chronic diseases, there are various special applications to improve their chances of admission.

For mature students aged 55 and older, certain restrictions apply when applying for admission to degree programs that have admission restrictions.
