Merlind Plarr
Merlind Plarr is an apprentice electronics technician specializing in energy and building technology at the University of Bonn. Her instructor, Sebastian Klemmer, nominated her. Members of the University of Bonn, young or experienced, long-serving or brand new, can all be nominated by other university members and then featured here because they are simply outstanding, breathtaking, unique, and in any case, special. The nomination led Merlind Plarr to We Are Uni Bonn.

Sebastian Klemmer is one of Merlind Plarr's trainers and so pleased with his trainee's consistently excellent performance that she was not only nominated for this campaign but also given the opportunity to complete a stay abroad. In this video, they both explain how this came about and what their time in Spain was like.

... darum geht's vor allem in ihrer Ausbildung zur Elektronikerin für Energie- und Gebäudetechnik an der Uni Bonn, sagt Merlind Plarr. Und das lernt die Auszubildende im dritten Lehrjahr in den Arbeitsfeldern Lichtinstallationen, Steckdoseninstallationen, Schaltschrankbau u.a.m. Während Ihres Auslandsaufenthaltes bei einer spanischen Firma hat sie künftige Berufskolleg*innen und auch Studierende aus anderen EU-Staaten kennnen gelernt, auch dass Normen und Arbeitstechniken verschieden sein können wie das bevorzugte Material: starre Drähte in Deutschland, flexible in Spanien z. B.
