Summer School: "Nutritional Epidemiology"
The University of Bonn organizes the summer school "Nutritional Epidemiology". This summer school aims to provide participants with in-depth understanding of dietary assessment methods, modeling of dietary exposures, analysis in relation to health outcomes, and nutrition-related intervention research. The target audience for this summer school are academics with a background in nutrition science, health sciences, natural sciences, epidemiology and public health, preferably at MSc or PhD level.
Course objectives
- Familiarize participants with dietary assessment methods
- Guide participants on approaches to model dietary exposures
- Exemplify the evaluation of diet-disease-relationships in population-based studies
- Provide knowledge about nutrition intervention research, incl. design, implementation & evaluation
- Create opportunities to discuss participants’ research questions
Course assessment
The course will be assessed as:
- 40% in-person participation
- 60% individual and group assignments in practical sessions / group work
