The University of Bonn offers its researchers and research managers a diverse range of consulting and coaching opportunities, primarily one-to-one sessions. These are held in complete confidence, needless to say, and are available in either German or English.
Career Consulting
Postdoctoral researchers and research managers at the University of Bonn are welcome to contact the Academic Career Development unit with any professional or career-related concerns. The counselling is tailored to your specific needs and is, of course, strictly confidential.
We advise you on all aspects of your professional development – from orientation and positioning within the German academic system and managing the diverse demands of your day-to-day work to planning your future career both within and beyond academia. Where appropriate, we will also draw your attention to further advisory and support services within and outside the University.
Consultations are available in German and English.

The Gender Equality Office organizes extensive programs and measures, particularly to support female (early-career) researchers.
Advising on discrimination and harassment cases is another main focus of its work.
