I am interested in the neuroscience of social perception and social decision-making. I studied medicine and experimental psychology at the University of Geneva, then learned how to study mental processes using functional neuroimaging at University College London, UK. After postdoctoral training in visual psychophysics and visual neuroscience at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics in Tübingen, I took a faculty position in Psychology at Durham University, UK, before moving back to Germany. I am currently a principal investigator at the Institute for Epileptology and Cognition Research at the University of Bonn and, since 2019, acting head of the Center for Economics and Neuroscience.
