Funding for Innovative Product Validations
The university awards prototyping grants to promote scientifically based and innovative start-up ideas from the University of Bonn. These ideas are to be further developed toward market readiness during the funding period and achieve a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of at least 4. This ensures compatibility with important start-up funding programs.

Currently no call for proposals. The application portal will open for the next call.
What does the funding include?
In addition to financial support of up to 50,000 euros, all funded teams receive a consulting and coaching program (approximately 25 hours). All scientific staff or assistants at the University of Bonn (including the Medical Faculty) who have ideas for founding a start-up or spin-off based on their research are eligible to apply.
Note: Funds are awarded annually and the funding is granted until the end of the calendar year.
