Visit to Campus Klein Altendorf - Phenorob Cluster of Excellence
On Nov 5, 2025, students enrolled in the Agriculture (ZEF ECOL) module of the BIGS-DR doctoral program will visit the Campus Klein-Altendorf, one of the University of Bonn’s key experimental research sites. The visit, hosted by Prof. Ralf Pude, will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and will provide participants with first-hand insights into ongoing research on sustainable agricultural systems, bio-based resources, and innovative crop management practices. As part of the program, Prof. Thomas Heckelei will deliver an expert lecture introducing the PhenoRob Cluster of Excellence, which focuses on developing robotic and digital technologies to improve crop production and resource efficiency. The visit aims to strengthen students’ understanding of interdisciplinary approaches linking agricultural science, technology, and sustainability, while offering direct engagement with leading researchers in the field.
