Welcome in Bonn

Welcome Days at the University of Bonn

With the Welcome Days we would like to welcome all new students and doctoral students from abroad to Bonn and facilitate a successful start of their studies. You will find all important information on this page.

What are the Welcome Days?

The Welcome Days are an opportunity for new students and doctoral students from abroad to gather information on the most important issues, such as enrollment, registration with the local authorities, and opening a bank account. Getting to know fellow international and German students and doctoral students during recreational activities is another benefit of the Welcome Days.

You will find information about events offered, how to participate and everything else there is to know.

When do the Welcome Days take place and who can participate?

The Welcome Days take place before arrival, during the Intensive German Courses Before Starting the Semester and at the beginning of each semester.

The program is open for all new University of Bonn students from abroad – whether they are here as exchange students, to obtain a degree or to do their doctorate.
