The program for the opening of the academic year begins traditionally with the Rector's opening speech. In addition to a colorful program of visual and audio performances, discussions and speeches, the evening focuses on the keynote of this year, held by Professor Dr. Reimund Neugebauer, President of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. The opening ceremony of the Academic Year will conclude with a speech by the Rector on current developments and future projects of the university and the traditional procession of the Rectorate and Deans.
