Justus Lützenkirchen
Justus Lützenkirchen had just successfully completed his training and joined the University of Bonn Botanical Gardens as a junior gardener when he received a scholarship from the Friends of the Botanical Gardens for a stint abroad at the University of Wrocław Botanical Gardens. This scholarship has now led him to *We Are Uni Bonn*.
Brought back a new plant
When a gardener visits another botanical garden, they are always keen to discover new plants that are not (yet) found in their own garden. Thus, Justus Lützenkirchen brought a rare philodendron from Wrocław to Bonn—a plant featuring numerous "windows" in its leaves. The curator approved the addition of this new plant to the collection.

Everyone should do that
"Anyone who has the chance to go abroad and experience their profession within a different cultural and historical context should definitely do so," concludes Justus Lützenkirchen after his return. He has already presented initial proposals for the further development of the gardens to the curator—ideas he brought back with him from Wrocław.
