When the new laboratory building for the Poppelsdorf Campus was being designed, the main priority was to make it sustainable and energy-efficient. Large parts of the roof areas and facades are to be covered with greenery or solar panels. As well as generating climate-neutral electricity, therefore, the building will also provide a habitat for small creatures and boost the microclimate in the future.
