Academic Advising Night

ATTENTION: DUE TO EXTREME HEAT, USE ONLY THE MINI PROGRAM

After their Abitur and just before the application deadline for subjects with restricted admission prospective students often have a great many questions: Which subject is right for me and what qualifications do I need? Which preliminary courses can I take? How can I generate my course schedule? How can I fund my studies? What should I bear in mind to get my studies off to a good start? How can I change my subject?

Whether you are just about to start your studies or are thinking about switching subjects: The “Academic Advising Night” provides answers to all these questions. Pick up helpful tips at a range of informative presentations and the stands at our large outdoor advice market. Just stop by!

Due to the extreme heat forecast for the day of the event, the event unfortunately cannot take place as originally planned. The planned accompanying program has been cancelled.

However, we would still like to give interested participants the opportunity to ask their questions. We are therefore offering a mini program on the same date:

Presentations  at the Lecture hall center:

  • 5:00–5:30 p.m.: Starting Your Studies – Getting Settled with Ease!
  • 5:35–6:00 p.m.: Application, Admission and Enrollment – How It Works!

Personal counseling provided by the Central Study Advisory and Counseling Service in the “Hydration Pavilion” (free drinks!)

  • 5:00–6:30 p.m.

Please take care of your health and decide according to your personal situation whether you would like to attend the event on site. We apologize for the short-notice change and thank you for your understanding.

Note on accessibility

The forecourt of the Lecture Hall Center and the Lecture Hall Center are accessible at ground level and without steps. Accessible restrooms are located on the first floor of the Lecture Hall Center. Disabled parking spaces are available at the Lecture Hall Center. There are tactile floor guidelines on the forecourt and surrounding paths from the parking lot and access routes. Please contact us if you need assistance. We are happy to help you attend the event.

During this event we aim to foster an inclusive and diverse environment. It is important to us that all participants feel comfortable and safe. Therefore, it is necessary that everybody present chooses their words carefully and avoids (intentional as well as unintentional) disrespectful speech and behavior. If these conditions are not met, don't hesitate to contact us at the Central Study Advisory and Counseling Service stand (Stand 28).
