Survey: A 5-Year Review of the Ahr Flood
In early August 2026, the SOZIAHR research project will launch its large-scale population survey. Current and former residents will be asked about their personal living situations following the July 2021 flood and their experiences with the reconstruction effort. The initial findings will be analyzed and presented to the public by April 2027.
How can I take part in the survey?
If you are one of the 79,341 citizens selected to receive an invitation by mail in early August 2026, we look forward to your participation in the population survey conducted by the Bonn-based research team “SOZIAHR.” To participate, you will need your individual access code, which you will receive by mail along with the invitation.
