“Conflict, exchange, reconciliation – three religions in dialogue on opportunities for peaceful coexistence”
The history of the three major religions—Christianity, Judaism, and Islam—is marked by common origins as well as conflicts, even wars. What role does the coexistence of religions play in Germany, how can it be made fruitful, and what role does the concept of reconciliation play in this?
After a welcome address by Prof. Dr. Volker Kronenberg, Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Bonn Academy, Bishop Dr. Franz-Josef Overbeck, Bishop of Essen, and Prof. Dr. Mouhanad Khorchide, Executive Director of the Center for Islamic Theology and Professor of Islamic Religious Education at the University of Münster, will discuss these and other questions. The discussion will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Dr. Jochen Sautermeister, Dean of the Faculty of Catholic Theology and Professor of Moral Theology at the University of Bonn.
You have the opportunity to follow the event live on site and ask the panelists your own questions.
