The patron of the ISFB 2025 is Minister Nathanael Liminski, Minister for Federal and European Affairs, International Affairs and Media of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, and Head of the State Chancellery.

The event is organized by the Center for Advanced Security, Strategic and Integration Studies (CASSIS) at the University of Bonn, in cooperation with several partners. The ISFB comprises a transatlantic conference day—the Main Day (29 October)—focused on European security relations, followed by the “Bonn Future Lab on Strategic Foresight” (30 October–1 November), which will address strategic challenges with a particular emphasis on the future of space security and governance. The patron of the Bonn Future Lab is Federal Minister Dorothee Bär, Minister for Research, Technology, and Space Affairs.

In addition to the five high-level keynotes delivered during the two conference days, special attention is drawn to the address by State Secretary Paul Höller (MWIKE) on 30 October at 6:30 p.m., titled “Europe’s Future in Space”, which will mark the ceremonial conclusion of the BFL conference day at the Academy of International Affairs NRW (Rheinallee 24).

For press inquiries, please contact the Managing Director of CASSIS, Dr. Enrico Fels, at cassis@uni-bonn.de or by phone at +49 228 7362995. Both conference days of the ISFB are open to the press. CASSIS has also compiled a list of experts attending the Forum who can comment on a range of topics.
