“We bring young companies and creative minds together, facilitate exchange, and highlight career opportunities in Bonn's start-up scene. There are often exciting jobs where you can quickly take on responsibility,” explains Dr. Alexander Küsshauer, start-up advisor at the University of Bonn's Transfer Center enaCom, who is co-organizing the career forum.
At the networking event, around 30 start-ups from various industries will showcase the opportunities they offer and the diversity of the start-up scene in Bonn. In a relaxed atmosphere, they will present their ideas, visions, and open positions to visitors, ranging from co-founders to internships to working student positions. Students, alumni, and those interested in start-ups will get to know the companies as exciting employers. Anyone who is curious about the start-up world in Bonn and would like to actively shape it in the future is invited to attend.
Start-ups from the University of Bonn are also presenting themselves and looking for co-founders or employees. One example is Felix Kirsch, who completed a master's degree in economics and then founded his company “Podradar”. Podradar allows users to search podcasts for specific terms and, for example, see where a particular topic has been reported on or where their own company has been mentioned.
Eren Demir, who is still in the middle of his computer science studies, is developing an AI-based motion analysis tool that can be used to prevent postural problems or back pain. Based on these analysis results, the “Previa Health” app developed by him and his team will suggest individual physiotherapy exercises that anyone can incorporate into their daily routine. Other start-up projects from the University of Bonn that will be presented at the fair come from the Faculty of Medicine in the fields of neuroscience and pharmacy.
