The highly research-oriented Shanghai ranking shows our institutional strength in the natural and life sciences, and the University of Bonn emerges as Germany’s leader in both mathematics and economics, placing very high worldwide (ranked 23rd and 39th worldwide). In the fields of pharmacy, geography and agricultural sciences University of Bonn ranks in the top 5 in Germany as well.
In the THE ranking, we ranked in the top 50 worldwide for the Physical Sciences (40th place), placing us third in Germany. Business & Economics is another subject of excellence, in which we ranked 53rd worldwide, for 4th place in Germany, especially in the categories of “Research Quality/Research Environment” and “Teaching”. In the indicator category of International Orientation, Bonn Economics is furthermore very strong, ranking first in Germany, and our institution performed excellently as well in the Life Sciences (86th worldwide) and Computer Science (95th worldwide).
