The advanced doctoral and early postdoc phase is crucial for the further course of one’s own academic career. Postdocs are confronted with numerous professional challenges and hurdles on the way to long-term scientific work: Independent publications, the acquisition of third-party funds and the implementation of independent research, the development of a teaching portfolio, participation in scientific communication and the establishment of a separate network of colleagues and cooperation partners, stays abroad … During the webcasts, participants can take stock to reflect upon their own current position. Building upon this, goals and important steps towards one’s own long-term career in academia are planned out.

Is there a charge for the event?

No. Human Resources Development will cover the costs.

An event is fully booked, is there a waiting list?

Yes, if an event is fully booked, we will put you on the waiting list. You will then move up if a place becomes available again in time before the start of the event.

Is childcare available during the event?

If you need childcare during an event, please contact the Family Office of the University of Bonn.

Are external persons also allowed to participate in the event?

In order to be able to participate in the training offers of the Human Resources Development of the University of Bonn, you must have an employment contract with the University of Bonn or be active in research for the University of Bonn.

What does certificate or certificate of attendance mean?

You can receive a confirmation of participation for this event and of its contents on request.
