Our research is centered on the quantum mechanics of many particles, which gives rise to many fascinating phenomena in condensed matter and quantum optical systems, like superconductivity, magnetism and entanglement. We are particularly interested in dynamical phenomena far from thermodynamic equilibrium, like time crystals or many-body localization. The development of digital quantum computers marks the beginning of a new era for the true quantum simulation of these systems, and we are actively working towards this goal.
