And we are also excited to see which innovative ideas from the University of Bonn will be awarded prizes this winter at our annual ideas competition at CITYHUB, where one of the prizes is a place in the DIGITALHUB Accelerator Program," says Sandra Speer, head of the Transfer Center enaCom, which advises many start-ups at the University of Bonn. The DIGITALHUB.DE was honored with the awards in particular for its excellent working environment and outstanding infrastructure. Its innovative approaches to design, technology integration, and service offerings, as well as its ability to create a diverse and productive community, were also rated as outstanding.
The hub community also includes teams of founders from the University of Bonn. For example, several EXIST Women scholarship holders use the coworking space at CITYHUB, the central location of DIGITALHUB directly opposite Bonn's main train station. Marcus Wille, start-up coach at the Transfer Center enaCom, particularly appreciates the quiet and relaxed atmosphere and the many – often spontaneous – opportunities to exchange ideas with other stakeholders and founders: “This works particularly well at the monthly start-up get-together, which we organize together with DIGITALHUB and the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences. Anyone can come, regardless of whether they have already founded a company or just want to get a taste of the start-up scene,” he recommends. The summer “start-up barbecue” is also particularly popular, for which the get-together is moved to the RHEINHUB at Bonner Bogen, the second location in Bonn. This is also where Startup Open Air takes place, an annual industry meeting for the start-up scene in Bonn and the surrounding region.

The Coworking Prize is awarded by the Bundesverband Coworking Spaces e.V. (Federal Association of Coworking Spaces), which supports, networks, and represents coworking spaces and industry companies throughout Germany.
