Comprehensive crisis prevention in Germany – can we do it?

The concept of holistic security provision deliberately encompasses more than just civil and
military defense. It is clearly about much more than that. Whether it be disasters of any kind, cyberattacks on
government institutions and critical infrastructure, or even the aforementioned effects of
war: it is about the protection and safety of people. And this also includes personal
aid and protective measures, ranging from at least a minimum food supply and first-aid
skills to possibly coordinated neighborhood assistance. What
are the responsibilities of the state, what preventive measures can citizens take, and what
can individuals do to help? We would like to explore these and other questions during
the event and discuss them with you.
