The new Global Network is being formed as an alliance between five internationally prominent institutions: Emory University (USA), Hebrew University (Jerusalem), University of St Andrews (UK), Waseda University (Japan) and the University of Bonn (Germany).

Social responsibility and sustainability are key focuses in one of the core projects, which is led by the University of Bonn. Following extensive dialogue between the alliance partners on potential approaches, best practices were identified which formed the basis for an online workshop for students on what students can do to promote sustainability. The purpose of the workshop to be held later this year is to bundle the sustainability initiatives of the network partners in order to more effectively move forward on sustainability issues on a global level.
