Guidelines and manuals (for counselors, teachers and students)

A collection of work aids, guidelines, handouts from the Information and Advice Center (IBS) of the Studierendenwerk Berlin. They were prepared to help with advising university management, teachers and all parties involved in ensuring accessible online teaching.

The “BIK for all” (Accessible Information and Communication—For All) project has published new guidelines and information on accessible web design and videos:

1. “Accessibility for agencies” guidelines (shows how they can integrate this into their workflow)
2. “Maintaining accessible web content” guidelines (aimed at web editors and authors)
3. Accessible online video guidelines (provides tips for video producers, web developers, subtitling, subtitling with YouTube and audio description)
4. Accessible videos in education and training (provides tips for the use of e-learning and multimedia learning formats in university teaching)

Guidelines for job seekers with impairments from the Central International and Specialized Services’ (ZAV) employer service for severely disabled academics

The brochure aims to help severely disabled applicants prepare a personal application strategy. It provides a great deal of useful information on self-analysis, job market analysis, application documents, job interviews and funding opportunities.
