Thank you for your interest in the Erasmus programme at the University of Bonn! Please read the following application procedure carefully.

Nomination/Application Deadlines

    • May 15th for the winter semester

    • November 1st for the summer semester

 

Nomination and Application

First, you should contact the Erasmus Coordinator or advisory professor from your home university. They will provide you with all the important information regading the University of Bonn.

If the Erasmus Coordinator or advisory professor from your home university cannot answer all of your questions, please take a look at the Erasmus Key Data for our university.

Infopunkt  Please note: We only acccept nominations (= applications) through our online form. 

Please follow these steps:

  1. Fill in the online application form completely and carefully. Make sure that all the data you provided is correct, especially your e-mail address. All further information will be sent via e-mail!
    If you realize that you have made a mistake, please submit a new application.
  2. Transmit your data.
  3. Click on "Print PDF Document" to save a copy of your application and print it.
  4. Sign your application form.
  5. Have the Erasmus Coordinator at your home university sign and stamp the hard copy of your nomination/application form. 
  6. Finally, you or your Erasmus Coordinator should send the form (ideally as scan) to the Erasmus Departmental Coordinator responsible for your major at the University of Bonn by the above mentioned application deadlines. Infopunkt Application forms should NOT be sent to International Office!
  7. Make sure to thoroughly read the explanations and notes provided on the online form.

 

Countries and universities that do not appear in the form usually do not have an Erasmus exchange with the University of Bonn. Please do not randomly choose a university or send unfinished documents. When in doubt, contact your Erasmus Departmental Coordinator.

After the Application

About 4 to 6 weeks after the aforementioned application deadlines, you will get an e-mail from your Erasmus Departmental Coordinator and the International Office containing an "Information Package" with further information on your Erasmus stay in Bonn. 

Please contact the International Office, if you have not received this e-mail 6 weeks after the application deadline!
