Catholic Religious Education

Catholic religious education offers a scientific theological examination of contemporary, religious and literary history. It deals with illustrative key events and developments in church history and contemplates the biblical understanding of man in the world and the word of God in the Old and New Testaments. Questions from anthropology, philosophy and (Christian) ethics are examined and considered in an interdenominational and interreligious context against the background of current challenges. Religious pedagogical content is supplemented by general didactic, psychological and educational theory knowledge. Role reflection and self-reflection skills and methods and social and diagnostic skills are taught for teaching practice.

The teaching degree for vocational schools combines a professional discipline with a school subject and educational sciences.
