enaCom Start-up Open Day
Come by and experience the startup scene firsthand! At the enaCom Start-up Open Day on July 7 (1–4 p.m.), you can meet start-ups, try out mini-workshops, and chat directly with founders. In a relaxed atmosphere with free drinks and ice cream, you’ll have the chance to discover new ideas, ask questions, and get involved yourself.
For founders and start-ups
Whether you have just had your first business idea or have already founded a company, many events are specifically aimed at those interested in founding a company or start-up teams. In workshops and talks, you will gain insights into topics such as financing, tax and legal basics or strategies for idea generation, for example in "Your Research Has Value - Explore Its Potential With AI" or "Business Plan, Legal Matters and Taxes".
In July, the Start-up Week Bonn/Rhein-Sieg offers additional opportunities to get to know the start-up scene, network, and further develop your own ideas. For five days, the Bonn/Rhein-Sieg region will be the meeting point for start-ups, research and industry with numerous events on topics related to founding and innovation.
Qualification opportunities for early-career scientists
The program also offers a wide range of workshops for early-career scientists during or after their doctorate. In "Your Research Has Value – Explore Its Potential Using LEGO®" or "Your Science as a Board Game", you can develop new perspectives on your research in a playful way and transfer its results into concrete applications. By participating, you can earn credits toward the Doctorate and Careers Plus certificate programs.
Networking and inspiration
In addition to workshops and talks, various events invite you to exchange with founders, investors, and other innovators, such as the Female Founders Meetup during the Start-up Week with a free breakfast, or the talk "Meet Femi-ON founder Meike Kreutel". This gives you the opportunity to make contacts and further develop your start-up or research project in a targeted manner.
Participation and registration
The events—some of which are held in English—are practical and interdisciplinary. They teach the basics, methods, and tools, but also make it fun to break new ground and develop creative ideas. Anyone interested is welcome to attend, regardless of prior knowledge. Registration via the website is required.
The Transfer Center enaCom supports knowledge and technology transfer at the University of Bonn and advises on questions relating to start-ups, inventions, and innovations from research.
