University examines students' need for vaccination University examines students' need for vaccination

The University management has asked the students of the University of Bonn to express their interest in a vaccination against the coronavirus. Based on their feedback, a vaccination offer will then be made to them in a timely manner. The University of Bonn is currently in negotiations with various agencies.

At the beginning of the week, the university management has invited all students to report online whether they are interested in receiving a vaccination. For this purpose, a course "Inquiry about the need for vaccination among students" has been set up in the electronic catalog BASIS, in which all enrolled students of the University of Bonn can register with their Uni-ID.

This procedure is used to estimate the required vaccine quantities. Therefore, only those should register who have not yet been able to get a vaccination appointment otherwise. Experience from the vaccination of University employees has shown that many people have already gotten vaccinated.

Vaccination of students is scheduled to begin as early as next week. Students enrolled in the BASIS course will be invited by mail to make an appointment for their vaccination. The mail will contain information about the vaccine, the location of the vaccination and a link to book an appointment. Unfortunately, a guarantee that all enrollees will receive a vaccination cannot be given at this time.
