The International Office will help the new arrivals settle into their new place of study by providing a wide range of information on various topics such as enrolling, registering with the local authorities and opening a bank account. The intensive German courses at levels A1.1 to B2.1 last three and a half weeks and enable the students to acquire initial German skills or refresh and consolidate their existing knowledge before the semester starts. An accompanying program of social events gives them the opportunity to network among themselves and with other Bonn students.

Although the information events and German courses will be held online, the bulk of the accompanying program will be on site so that the students can get to know the place where they will now be studying. Over 80 students from 26 countries will take part in the German courses, while the information events and the accompanying program will be open to all international students.

They will be followed by the Welcome Days from October 4 to 8, where all newly arrived international students (including doctoral students) will be able to engage in more intensive dialog with one another and explore their new home.

You can find more details of the language courses offered here.

Further information on the Welcome Days is available here.
