Students will thus benefit from the financial and non-material support provided by the FGU at both bachelor’s and master’s level in the future. This includes mobility grants (€350 a month) for the stay abroad that forms part of the programs as well as an extensive network of partner institutions and a range of intercultural events. The FGU was established to strengthen Franco-German cooperation in higher education and enable students from both countries to gain experience of studying abroad.
The master’s degree program in German-French Studies is offered jointly by the University of Bonn and Sorbonne University and leads to a bi-national double degree. It is designed for students who are keen to take an in-depth, interdisciplinary look at literature, language and culture from the fields of German and Franco-Romance studies. Applications for the forthcoming winter semester can still be made until September 15, 2025 via the University of Bonn’s application portal.
