Have you recently joined from abroad as a researcher or lecturer with an employment contract? Our colleagues at University Duisburg-Essen warmly invite you to an information session introducing key aspects of employment in the German public sector. The session will provide an overview of staff categories, employment contracts, job descriptions, working hours, overtime, home office arrangements, teaching loads, annual leave, public holidays, and regulations concerning temporary absences, parental and maternity leave. There will also be time to ask your individual questions.

The event is aimed at international researchers and academic staff with an employment contract and is particularly helpful for those who are new to the German university system.
