NEW! Collected — Used — Reimagined

The new special exhibition in P26 presents new acquisitions and additions from the museums and collections of the University of Bonn. The ways in which objects find their way into the collections are as diverse as the collections themselves. Donations play a major role, but sometimes pose challenges for the museums.

At the same time, the exhibition shows how new technologies, methods and approaches are helping to re-examine and re-evaluate objects that have been in the university's possession for some time. Why does a university collect or acquire objects? What function do they have in everyday research and teaching? How is knowledge created?
More than 20 university museums and collections from a wide range of disciplines are participating in the exhibition – from the natural sciences and humanities to medicine and agriculture.
