Assertiveness training – Self-confident, strong and secure!
Those who can assert themselves well will also position themselves better in everyday professional life; this creates more freedom for self-determined action. Unfortunately, there are always situations—even in academia—in which one is discriminated, molested, harassed or even persecuted, whether at or on the way to work, at events and on business trips, or within university buildings. Being confronted with intrusive or aggressive behaviour from others often leaves one feeling inferior or helpless. In such situations, it can help to be able to clearly distinguish and assert oneself both verbally and physically.
The self-safety training is holistically oriented and includes strategies of verbal and non-verbal demarcation as well as techniques of centring and physical self-defence. The transfer to clear communication and body language opens unimagined possibilities of self-strengthening and positive self-assertion in a professional context. (International Club)
