My scientific interests relate to aiding the discovery of regularities in medical and scientific data through image analysis and data visualization. The increasing availability of large, complex, and dynamic image data challenges traditional approaches to image analysis and interpretation. At the same time, given the right computational tools, these datasets enable novel types of statistical analysis and predictive modeling. Within this domain, my work focuses on approaches that integrate automated pattern recognition with interactive visual analysis.
