Since September 2025, I have been a W2 Professor of Experimental Neuro-Oncology at University Hospital Bonn. I earned a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a Ph.D. from Tufts University. After postdoctoral research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, I led a Max-Eder Junior Research Group at Heidelberg University Hospital. My lab investigates how epigenetic and transcriptional programs shape brain tumors. We integrate single-cell and spatial multi-omics with functional genomics and advanced imaging (particularly light-sheet fluorescence microscopy) to dissect tumor plasticity, microenvironmental interactions, and therapy resistance, revealing actionable vulnerabilities. Our translational work spans mechanism to intervention, studying gliomagenesis and informing biomarker-guided therapeutic strategies.
