Animal Sciences

The master’s degree program Animal Sciences focuses on the production of animal source foods in Germany and abroad with a view to animal, resource and environmental protection. The program addresses questions of nutrition, breeding and production technology as well as disease prevention and the quality of animal source foods. Further important aspects of this degree program are animal welfare and animal health.

Building on the content of the University of Bonn’s Agricultural Sciences bachelor's degree program, students deepen their understanding in the areas of animal nutrition, animal breeding, animal husbandry and animal health. Moreover, students learn to conduct independent and innovative research, to independently apply methods, techniques and strategies as well as to refine them with regard to existing problems.
