Implementing good ideas with social or environmental impact requires visibility, feedback, networking, and financial support. The Impact Pitch Night gives innovative projects from the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg region a boost and creates networking opportunities with potential sponsors and experts. Whether you are an interested party, founder, student, or innovation team, the Impact Pitch Night offers a stage for anyone who has an idea that serves the common good and wants to present it to a wider audience. The only condition is that the idea or the founding team must have a regional connection. Rebecca Göckel, CEO and founder of NOMOO and part of the four-member jury, will open the evening. The jury will award prizes to the participants: 1st place will receive 3,000 euros, 2nd place 2,000 euros, and 3rd place 1,000 euros. All finalist teams will also receive exclusive coaching on how to make pitches profitable. In addition, the non-profit organization Anthropia is awarding a place in the selection camp for the Impact Factory Incubator, which will take place in December. This is a start-up grant that offers social entrepreneurs a collaborative space to develop scalable innovations to solve complex social and environmental challenges.
Applications for the Impact Pitch Night are open until Sunday, October 12. The Impact Pitch Night is being organized as part of the “SoNaR – Social Entrepreneurship, Sustainable Impact: Impact Cluster Region Bonn-Rhein-Sieg” project, a collaborative project between Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, the University of Bonn, and Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences to strengthen public welfare-oriented start-ups in the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg region. As part of the “Sustainable Impact” program, the project is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and by the European Union through the European Social Fund Plus (ESF Plus).
