In the present dispute over the use of copyrighted texts, according to the Ministry of Science of NRW, a working group jointly set up by HRK, KMK and VG Wort has achieved a transitional solution which allows the continued use of copyrighted texts until 30 September 2017. Therefore, texts do not have to be deleted from eCampus and other digital storage locations as of 31 December 2016.
Rector Prof. Dr. Michael Hoch says in a circular to the members of the university: "We welcome this development, particularly for the sake of our students. We hope that the working group will find a viable solution for the time beyond 30 September 2017."
