Semester ticket becomes 9-euro ticket for three months Semester ticket becomes 9-euro ticket for three months

Since June 1, there is the 9-Euro-Ticket in Germany, with which one can use the public transport nationwide. Students at the University of Bonn can also benefit from this offer. Until the end of August, the extended area of use (Germany-wide on local public transport) applies to them. In addition, they will be refunded money paid over and above the 9 euros. The General Students' Committee (AStA) and the University administration have agreed on the modalities.

In concrete terms, this means that all students who re-register for the winter semester 2022/23 do not have to act in any way. Their social fee for the summer semester 2022 will be adjusted for this purpose, so that a credit will be created that will be credited to the payment for the winter semester. In the course of the re-registration notice, the Student Secretariat points out the individual social fees for the winter semester 2022/23.

Students who withdraw at the end of the summer semester will automatically be refunded the amount. Students who do not re-register for the winter semester and are then exmatriculated "ex officio" will receive the amount refunded upon application. The exact form of the application is still being determined. Up-to-date information is available on the AStA homepage (https://www.asta-bonn.de/Hauptseite) and its social media accounts.

The right to take someone with you on the Studiticket, i.e. that another person may travel with you after 7 p.m. and on weekends, remains regional. The AStA points this out on its homepage.
