An Hochschulen existiert ein enormes Spektrum spezieller Kenntnisse und Erfahrungen, die zwar keine patentfähigen Erfindungen darstellen und dennoch einen beachtenswerten Marktwert haben. Solches Know-how war lange nicht ausreichend gesetzlich vor ungenehmigter Offenbarung und Nutzung durch Dritte geschützt. Mit dem seit April 2019 geltenden Gesetz zum Schutz von Ge­schäftsgeheimnissen (GeschGehG) liegt nun ein Regelwerk vor, das wertvolle geheime Informationen jeglicher Art unter einen Schutz stellt, der mit Erfindungen vergleichbar ist. Hochschulen und Wissenschaftler*innen können sich auf ein eigenständiges Stammgesetz stützen, das mit seinen Instrumenten wie ein Sonderschutzrecht für geheime Informationen funktioniert. Die Veranstaltungen von NRW Hochschul-IP von PROvendis sind für Mitglieder der Universität Bonn kostenfrei!
