Psychology

In the field of psychology, obtaining a master’s degree is very important. It is only in the master’s phase that students go into scientific depth and specialize, which are prerequisites for a large number of classic professional fields. In the master's degree program, students expand and deepen their existing knowledge of methods of scientific data collection and analysis through the addition of multivariate statistics. At the same time, they continue to gain diagnostic knowledge of test theory and test construction and are introduced to psychological evaluation. Students refine and solidify their academic and professional competences by independently conducting an empirical project as well as through an internship that is integrated into the study program and related to a chosen professional field.

The master’s degree program Psychology at the University of Bonn offers students numerous possibilities to prioritize basic and applied subjects, enabling them to develop profiles that reflect their personal interests, abilities and career plans.
