Research Infrastructure
The University of Bonn offers its scientists access to high-end equipment and infrastructure with state-of-the-art technologies and services to advance cutting-edge research at an international level. This includes large research infrastructures such as high-performance computers, technology centers, and experimental farms.
Our core facilities are organized at the Bonn Technology Campus (BTC) with standardized usage and billing conditions, currently with a focus on life and agricultural sciences. An expansion to non-experimental areas (e.g., libraries and collections) and a connection to digital university services are in preparation.
Additional offerings from individual research consortia, institutes, or working groups are provided as technology platforms and competence hubs, often based on scientific collaboration. Fundamental technical and digital service facilities and a large number of university collections and museums support university researchers at various levels.
